3 months?!?!
Has it really been three months since I blogged? Is someone playing a trick on me? Or is my life really that hectic? All the time people comment about how crazy busy my life must be... and I guess it is. I always reply that being a super busy mama is all I know, so to me... it's just perfect. Oh my goodness, I've grown and learned so much through these experiences... this everyday craziness... and I wouldn't change it for the world! So, I suppose if you had been checking in on us, you have surely abandoned that endeavor, but I am really going to try to keep up here, especially since summer is right around the corner and I won't be running back and forth to two different schools all week long. With that all said, I'm off to search through my recently uploaded photos to find something to make up for my absence.

At a loss for words
Today I want to write about Africa. I want to write about the passion in my soul for a continent and countries I have never even visited. I want to write poetically about the child-like joy that washes over me when I find a trinket in my local store labeled, "hand carved in Kenya". I want to convey my emotions as I literally skip to the counter to purchase my treasure. I want to describe how this ties in to who I am and what this all means for my life, but I just can't find the words today. I can never seem to find the words.
Instead, I'll sit here (camera in hand) and try to capture my three little love-bugs as they zoom up and down the hall trading costumes. Batman, Robin, Darth Vader, storm trooper, Spider man... if I have to tie on another cape today, I might lose my joyful mommy mind.

Last one for today...
Trooper
Psoriasis is awful... I hear.
Severe psoriasis is even worse.
Psoriasis at this severity in a four year old is, apparently, extremely rare... and terrible.
My little man is a trooper... and so stinkin' adorable I can barely stand it!

An Orphan's Wish
My post has officially been added to the An Orphan's Wish blog!
http://www.anorphanswish.org/blog
I am so blessed to be able to have a hand in helping this organization successfully advocate for special needs orphans in China... so blessed.
A few months ago, I sat in this same chair in front of this computer and wished I could make a difference for these children. I wished I was creative enough... smart enough... to dream up a way to reach these little lives and bring them hope and LOVE.
Today, there's a little spark in my heart that wasn't there before. Today I am proud of how far I've come and how far I will go.
An Orphan's Wish gives so much more than they even know. They give so very much to the beautiful, vibrant, incredible children at HoL... but that is not all... oh no.
An Orphan's Wish has given me hope. Hope for the future of orphans all over this world and reassurance that there is still very much good if you are willing to find it and become a part of it. AOW has given me pride in myself and confidence to encourage others to care... as much as I do.
Thank you AOW.
